CATEGORY 6 — WALLETS
========================================
----------------
TITLE: Connecting a wallet
BODY:
Click Connect Wallet in the top navigation. We support all major wallets via ReOwn AppKit, including MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, and WalletConnect-compatible mobile wallets. Approve the connection request in your wallet. We never request transaction signing during connection — only when you actively buy or redeem.
----------------
TITLE: Supported wallets
BODY:
DOMA supports any EVM wallet (Ethereum) and Solana wallets (Phantom, Solflare, etc.). For Ethereum buys and redemptions, use MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or any WalletConnect wallet. For Solana stablecoin payments, use Phantom or Solflare. Hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) are supported through their respective software apps.
----------------
TITLE: Supported networks
BODY:
For buying with stablecoins: Ethereum mainnet (USDC, USDT) and Solana (USDC). GDLR and SDLR tokens themselves live on Ethereum — they must be received to an Ethereum-compatible address. Make sure your wallet is on the right network before approving a transaction.
----------------
TITLE: Adding a wallet to your profile
BODY:
You can link multiple wallets to your DOMA account. Go to Profile → Wallets and click Add wallet. Connect each wallet you want to use for buying, receiving tokens, or redeeming. Linked wallets are also screened for AML risk via Elliptic before each transaction.
----------------
TITLE: Wallet not connecting — troubleshooting
BODY:
Try these in order: (1) refresh the page, (2) ensure your wallet extension is unlocked, (3) check you're on a supported network, (4) try a different browser, (5) disconnect from all dApps in your wallet and try again. If using mobile, ensure you've approved the connection inside the wallet app, not just clicked the link.
========================================
CATEGORY 7 — PAYMENTS
========================================
----------------
TITLE: Supported stablecoins
BODY:
DOMA accepts USDC and USDT as payment. On Ethereum, both are supported. On Solana, only USDC is supported. We don't support other stablecoins (DAI, BUSD, FRAX) at this time. Make sure you have enough of the chosen stablecoin in your wallet plus a small amount of ETH/SOL for gas.
----------------
TITLE: How crypto deposits are detected
BODY:
We use Fireblocks, an institutional custody platform, to monitor for incoming deposits. Most deposits are detected within 1–2 minutes of being broadcast on the network and credited to your order once confirmed (typically 1–2 block confirmations on Ethereum). Solana confirmations are usually faster — under 30 seconds.
----------------
TITLE: Why my deposit hasn't arrived
BODY:
Common causes: (1) transaction is still pending on the network — check Etherscan for status, (2) you sent the wrong stablecoin (we don't accept anything outside USDC/USDT), (3) you sent on the wrong network (e.g., USDC on Polygon instead of Ethereum), (4) the deposit address has expired (orders expire after 15 minutes). If your deposit is confirmed on-chain but not credited after 15 minutes, contact support with the transaction hash.
----------------
TITLE: What is Fireblocks?
BODY:
Fireblocks is an institutional-grade digital asset custody platform used by major exchanges, banks, and crypto-native companies. DOMA uses Fireblocks to securely receive your stablecoin deposits, hold operational funds, and process token withdrawals. Fireblocks uses MPC (multi-party computation) cryptography to eliminate single points of failure.
----------------
TITLE: Crypto payment expiry
BODY:
Each crypto deposit address is valid for 15 minutes from when the order is created. If you don't send funds within that window, the order expires and you'll need to start over. This protects against stale price quotes — metal prices can move significantly in longer windows.
========================================
CATEGORY 8 — TOKENS & BACKING
========================================
----------------
TITLE: What is SDLR?
BODY:
SDLR is an ERC-20 token where 1 SDLR = 1 gram of physical silver held in segregated vault custody. You can hold SDLR in any Ethereum wallet, send it peer-to-peer, trade it on supported exchanges, or redeem it for stablecoins or physical silver bars on DOMA.
----------------
TITLE: What is GDLR?
BODY:
GDLR is an ERC-20 token where 1 GDLR = 10 milligrams of physical gold held in segregated vault custody. The 10mg unit lets you buy gold in small denominations without paying for a full troy ounce upfront. GDLR is redeemable for stablecoins or physical gold bars.
----------------
TITLE: ERC-20 vs ERC-3643 — what's the difference?
BODY:
ERC-20 is the standard wallet-transferable token — what you hold and trade (SDLR, GDLR). ERC-3643 is an identity-verified security token that lives in the vault smart contract and represents the actual ownership of physical metal. Every ERC-20 in circulation is backed by an equivalent ERC-3643 token locked in the vault.
----------------
TITLE: Why 1 ERC-3643 backs 31.1035 SDLR?
BODY:
Because 1 troy ounce = 31.1035 grams. Each ERC-3643 silver vault token represents one troy ounce. Each SDLR represents one gram. So 1 vault token covers exactly 31.1035 SDLR. The math is enforced by smart contract — it never drifts.
----------------
TITLE: What is Proof of Reserves?
BODY:
Proof of Reserves is our public dashboard at /proof-of-reserves that shows, in real-time on-chain, the exact amount of metal in the vault and the exact amount of SDLR/GDLR in circulation. You can independently verify both numbers on Etherscan. The two always match.
----------------
TITLE: Can DOMA print extra tokens?
BODY:
No. The Vault smart contract enforces the 1:1 backing rule automatically. DOMA cannot mint SDLR or GDLR without depositing equivalent ERC-3643 vault tokens first, and cannot release vault tokens without burning equivalent SDLR/GDLR. The rule is in code, not policy — no human can override it.
========================================
CATEGORY 9 — SECURITY
========================================
----------------
TITLE: How DOMA protects your assets
BODY:
Multiple layers: (1) physical metal in audited segregated vault custody, (2) on-chain backing enforced by ERC-3643 smart contracts, (3) Fireblocks MPC custody for operational funds, (4) Sumsub KYC/AML, (5) Elliptic wallet screening, (6) 2FA on accounts, (7) independent quarterly audits by Alfred H Knight. No single party can compromise your holdings.
----------------
TITLE: Vault custody — what does "allocated" mean?
BODY:
Allocated means specific bars are reserved in your name (technically, in DOMA's name on behalf of all token holders), as opposed to unallocated where you just have a paper claim against a pool. Allocated custody is the gold standard for precious metals — your metal is physically separated and accounted for individually.
----------------
TITLE: Why does DOMA use Elliptic?
BODY:
Elliptic is a blockchain analytics firm that scores wallet addresses for AML risk based on their on-chain history. We check every connected wallet before processing transactions. Wallets with a risk score above 7 are blocked from transacting on DOMA. This protects DOMA, our regulators, and other users.
----------------
TITLE: Reporting a security issue
BODY:
If you discover a security vulnerability in our platform, please email security@doma.io with details. We have a responsible disclosure policy and may reward serious findings. Do not exploit the vulnerability or share it publicly until we've had a chance to address it. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
----------------
TITLE: Phishing — how to spot it
BODY:
DOMA will never: ask for your password by email, request your private keys or seed phrase, ask you to send tokens to "verify" your wallet, or contact you via Telegram or Discord. The only official channels are doma.io, official Twitter/X account, and emails from @doma.io addresses. If in doubt, log in directly via doma.io rather than clicking email links.
========================================
CATEGORY 10 — ACCOUNT & PROFILE
========================================
----------------
TITLE: Updating your profile
BODY:
Go to Profile in the top-right menu. You can update your name, phone number, country, and preferred language. Email changes require re-verification of the new address. Profile updates do not require re-doing KYC unless you're changing legal name or country of residence.
----------------
TITLE: Changing your email
BODY:
From Profile → Account, enter your new email. We'll send a verification code to the new address. Until you confirm, your old email remains active. After confirmation, the old email is removed. Make sure you have access to the new email before starting this process.
----------------
TITLE: Resetting your password
BODY:
Two ways: (1) From login — click "Forgot?" and follow the reset email flow. (2) From profile — go to Profile → Security → Change password and enter your current password plus the new one. Always pick a password you haven't used before.
----------------
TITLE: Enabling 2FA
BODY:
Go to Profile → Security → Two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, or any TOTP app. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm setup. Save the backup codes shown — they let you recover access if you lose your phone. Enable 2FA for all accounts that hold real-world value.
----------------
TITLE: Closing your account
BODY:
You can request account closure by emailing support@doma.io from your registered email. Before closure, you must withdraw any token balances (sell or redeem). We retain KYC and transaction records for the regulatory retention period (typically 5–7 years) per AML rules — this is a legal requirement we cannot waive.
========================================
CATEGORY 11 — TROUBLESHOOTING
========================================
----------------
TITLE: KYC stuck in review
BODY:
Most KYC checks complete in minutes. If yours is stuck for more than 24 hours, possible reasons: (1) document quality required manual review, (2) name/DOB on document doesn't match what you entered, (3) compliance flagged for additional checks. You'll receive an email either way. If 48 hours have passed with no update, contact support with your account email.
----------------
TITLE: Order pending too long
BODY:
A buy order takes ~5–15 minutes from payment confirmation to tokens in your wallet. If it's been longer: (1) check the transaction confirmed on Etherscan, (2) check our status page for incidents, (3) contact support with your order ID and transaction hash. We can usually resolve stuck orders within an hour.
----------------
TITLE: Insufficient balance error
BODY:
You're trying to send more tokens than you have. Check the wallet you're transacting from. Common causes: (1) you have the tokens in a different wallet, (2) you don't have enough ETH/SOL for gas fees, (3) you're on the wrong network. The Receive section in your wallet should show the exact balance.
----------------
TITLE: Wallet doesn't appear in the connect list
BODY:
Try WalletConnect as a fallback — it supports 100+ wallets via QR code. If you're on mobile, open the link inside your wallet's built-in browser rather than Safari/Chrome. If you've installed a wallet extension recently, try refreshing the page first.
----------------
TITLE: Page won't load / 502 error
BODY:
Refresh the page. If it persists, check our status page at status.doma.io. Most 502 errors are brief blips — try again in 30 seconds. If the issue lasts more than 5 minutes, report it on Twitter/X or via support so we can investigate.
----------------
TITLE: I sent funds to the wrong address
BODY:
Unfortunately, crypto transactions cannot be reversed. If you sent to a DOMA-controlled address by mistake (e.g., wrong order's deposit address), contact support immediately with the transaction hash — we may be able to credit it manually if the funds are still recoverable. If you sent to an unrelated address, the funds are gone.
========================================
CATEGORY 12 — LEGAL & COMPLIANCE
========================================
----------------
TITLE: Terms of Service — summary
BODY:
By using DOMA, you agree to: not abuse the platform, accept that token prices reflect real metal markets (which fluctuate), provide accurate KYC information, comply with sanctions and AML rules in your jurisdiction, and acknowledge that physical redemption is subject to delivery restrictions. Full Terms are at doma.io/terms.
----------------
TITLE: Privacy policy — summary
BODY:
We collect only what's necessary: KYC documents (held by Sumsub, not us), wallet addresses, transaction history, and contact info. We do not sell your data. KYC providers and law enforcement (when legally required) are the only third parties with access. Full policy at doma.io/privacy.
----------------
TITLE: Restricted jurisdictions
BODY:
DOMA does not serve residents of sanctioned countries (OFAC list: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea region, etc.) or other jurisdictions where precious metal trading is restricted by local law. The exact list may change as regulations evolve — Sumsub will block account creation from restricted regions during KYC.
----------------
TITLE: Tax considerations
BODY:
Buying, holding, and selling SDLR/GDLR may be a taxable event in your jurisdiction. Most countries treat precious metals and tokens as capital assets. DOMA does not provide tax advice. We will issue transaction history exports on request, which you can give to your tax advisor. Consult a qualified professional for your specific situation.
----------------
TITLE: Are tokens regulated as securities?
BODY:
DOMA tokens are designed as commodity-backed digital assets, not securities. The ERC-3643 backing structure follows the T-REX standard for identity-verified security tokens used in regulated markets. Regulatory treatment varies by jurisdiction — we operate in regions where this structure is permitted. Check with your local regulator if unsure about your jurisdiction.
